Second Collection next weekend, on the 8^th& 9^th of November will be in aid of Irish Church Commissions and Agencies of the Bishops Conference. Much work is carried out by these bodies such as promoting marriage and the family, pastoral development, caring for emigrants, communications, justice and peace, promoting knowledge of the liturgy, Catholic education.

Confession will be held this Sat. 1^st November after the 7.30pm Mass.

Baptism: We would like to welcome baby Ronnie James Wardrop Devane, Edinburgh & Mastergeeha into God’s family with joy. Congratulations to his parents and wishing them many years of health and happiness.

Special Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 8^th November in memory of those whose Funeral Mass was celebrated in our Parish during the Past Year, Nov 24 – Nov 25. We also warmly invite parishioners to submit the names of loved ones whose funeral took place outside the Parish. These names will be included and remembered in our Annual Mass. Please give their names to Siobhan in the Parish office.

Press Release: The life story of Fr. Tom Jones (1868-1950) comes available as “Unbeatable – Handball Supremo” from Red Stripe Press this month. The multi – crowned handball champion was ordained in Maynooth in 1896. Following 10 years on loan overseas he went on to minister for 45 years in Kerry. He served as both C.C. and P.P. in Glenbeigh (1906-09, 1931-50), Ballyferriter (1909-16), Killorglin (1916-21), Dingle (1921-28), and Caherciveen (1928-31). The Handball Clubs in Tralee and Glenbeigh bear his name as Patron. Author, Fr. Tom Looney has arranged the Kerry launches, where his biography will be available costing €15.00. Maine Valley FRC Castlemaine plan to run a Rainbows peer support group for children age 7yrs - 12yrs who are experiencing grief as a result of bereavement, separation or family breakdown.
