Third Candle of Advent - Joy: Known as the Shepherd’s Candle”, its rose colour is the liturgical colour for joy. We light the third candle and celebrate like the shepherds who travelled to Bethlehem to see Jesus on this third Sunday of Advent, which the church refers to as Gaudete Sunday, which means rejoice or praise, and is meant to remind us of the joy that the world felt at the birth of Jesus.

Pink Night Save The Date: The Ladies’ Committee of Kilcummin GAA Club are delighted to announce the return of its annual Pink Night, taking place in The Klub Bar on Saturday, January 3rd. Guests will be greeted with a prosecco reception and chocolate-dipped strawberries to set the tone for a relaxed post-Christmas celebration. While everyone is encouraged to wear pink, dressing up is completely optional—the true spirit of the night is community, enjoyment, and support for a great cause. Prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Female and Best Dressed Male. The festivities begin at 8pm, with entertainment from Derry and Rosie Healy from 8 to 10:00pm, followed by Barry McGrath playing late into the night. Advent Prayer

God of light and hope,

Look upon us in love,

And fill us with the Spirit of Jesus

that we may love you and serve you in your kingdom.

Protect us during this week

And keep us watchful in prayer

as we await the coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ,

who is the light of the world,

and who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

One God, forever and ever.
