Kilcummin Looking Good – 14 Points Up in Tidy Towns 2025! We are thrilled to share that Kilcummin Looking Good has achieved an amazing 14-point increase in this year’s National Tidy Towns Competition – rising from 329 to 343 points! This fantastic progress reflects the dedication, teamwork, and community spirit of everyone involved – volunteers, residents, local schools, and businesses. A special mention to our a dedicated Community employment scheme supported by Kilcummin Rural Development and the Department of Social Protection, who’s ongoing efforts have had a substantial impact on the final outcome. Highlights noted in this year’s report include: the vibrant floral mural planters and beautifully maintained village centre; the engaging Biodiversity Park, wood and bog walks; continued leadership in sustainability, recycling, and litter control; the magical Jingle and Mingle community celebration. A heartfelt thank-you to all who make Kilcummin shine – your passion and effort are truly making a difference. Here’s to even greater things in 2026!

Reflection

Lord, may your Angel bring

comfort in the endless night of sorrow.

May a quiet peace settle

within the hearts of those left behind,

and in your goodness. Can you stir a sign?

A treasured memory, a word of praise.

A smiling photo, a friend’s embrace.

All reminding we are alone. May you call home

the one who has left us. To your consoling arms

where pain and sorrow are no longer known.

May quiet understanding come to fill the vacant place.

Where memory serves to ease the pain.

And somewhere deep inside,

hope will bloom again, for in your house

there is a room. Your promise to us all.

A place of peace, a place of love.

A healing place for all.
