Lochanna Beo is a new network in the area that wants to see our rivers and lakes become healthy once again. Members are very welcome to share their concerns or ideas with us but equally, can simply sign up for regular updates, every new member increases our lobbying power. We aim to find answers to the current problems and collaborate with partners, members and government to implement improvements across the watershed, including efforts to reverse dramatic biodiversity decline locally. BOG WALKS
Details of these walks which are rich in a variety of flora & fauna, are in the “Kilcummin Walks” brochures (free of charge) which are available at the Rural Development Office and the Post Office. Why not pick one up and it may inspire you to discover this beautiful amenity which is enjoyed by many already. Please be mindful of keeping this a clean, safe and friendly place to enjoy by bringing your rubbish home, keeping your dog(s) on a lead when you come in contact with fellow walkers or wildlife and respecting the local landowners’ property.

Recent results: Kilcummin 5-18 Listry 0-10.
Goals from Kevin McCarthy, Ger Sheehan, Paudie Moynihan and Aaron Buckley helped us to a comprehensive win.
Gneeveguilla 2-21 Kilcummin 2-11
A depleted team lost out to Gneeveguilla by 10pts despite some good individual performances and goals from Paudie Moynihan and Sean Doolan.
U16 DIVISION 1 COUNTY LEAGUE
Kilcummin 8-23 Austin Stacks 7-17
A fantastic win for Kilcummin U16s last Thursday evening against a very strong Austin Stacks side. There was very little between the sides throughout, with both teams playing some excellent football. It made for a great game to watch. Huge credit to our lads, who showed great strength and kept going right to the end. It was a real team performance and a well-deserved win. Well done to the players and management and thanks to Austin Stacks for a great game.

There was no winner of our lotto on Friday, 10th July for the Jackpot of €9,000. Numbers drawn were 10, 17, 21, 24. Consolation prizes of €50 went to Ella Stack, Cockhill; Johnny Reidy, Coolick; Cillian Sheehan c/o Klub; Patsy Casey, annual ticket. Our next draw will be on Friday 17th July for Jackpot of €9,200.
