Kilcummin Looking Good Committee would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported our recent Coffee Morning. We’re very grateful to all who contributed with beautiful home baking, their time and generous donations. Your combined effort and support made the event a great success and will help us continue our efforts in enhancing the community for everyone to enjoy.

Holy Cross Graveyard Mass on Wednesday, 1st July @ 7.30pm and Old Kilcummin Graveyard Mass on Wednesday, 5th August @ 7.30pm.

CO LEAGUE DIV 1

Dr Crokes 3-14 Kilcummin 2-13

Despite a much improved performance than of late our senior team lost out to Dr Crokes by four points on Sunday. Two first half goals from Philip O’ Leary saw us lead at half time 2-10 to 1-09 but two Crokes goals in the second half laid the foundation for a valuable win for them leaving us facing relegation.

Team and scorers: Dylan Cronin, Jack Fogarty 0-1, Dara Stack, James Nagle 0-1, Sean O’ Leary, Dara O’Callaghan, Keelan O’Shea, Mark O'Shea, 0-3, Paul O’Shea 0-2, Cian Foley, Kevin Gorman, Philip O’Leary 2-01, Mikey Casey 0-3, Gary O’Leary 0-1, Paudie Moynihan 0-1. The match saw a welcome return after four years of Kevin McCarthy.

Final game of the league is away to Rathmore in two weeks.

There was no winner of our lotto on Monday 15th June for the Jackpot of €8,750. Numbers drawn were 02,07,10,23. Consolation prizes of €50 Susan O’Gorman, Helen Moynihan, Brendan O’Sullivan, D. Will. Our next draw will be on Monday 29th June for Jackpot of €9,000. Thank you for your continued support. 

KILCUMMIN COMMUNITY GAMES

ATHLETICS COUNTY FINALS

Athletics County Finals took place on the 20th & 21st of June in An Ríocht Athletic Club, Castleisland. Sinead Coleman came 2nd in the U14 80m Hurdles and now progresses on to the regionals. Charlie Jay Kelliher came 2nd in the U12 Long Jump.  Siun O’Callaghan came 2nd place in the U12 Long Jump. Rachel O’Riordan came 4th place in the U8 60m. Congratulations to everyone who participated over the weekend and thanks to parents and mentors for their ongoing support. Best of luck to Charlie Jay and Siun as they progress onto to the All-Ireland Finals.
