LADY OF LOURDES CHURCH
This June our Church marks its 50th Anniversary. This is a very special milestone in the life of our Parish and we look forward to celebrating it together as a community. In preparation for this occasion our Church has been painted and decorated both inside and out and it’s looking particularly well. As we plan for this important celebration we would greatly welcome your input, if you have any ideas how you would like this Anniversary to be marked, example, special Mass, social gathering, please let us know. We would also be grateful if anyone has old photographs, newspaper clippings or memorabilia connected to the Church over the last 50 years. We already have some pictures given to us and we are most grateful, please feel free to contact the Parish Council through the Parish Office with any suggestions or ideas.

MCCARTHY INSURANCE COUNTY LEAGUE DIV 1
KENMARE SHAMROCKS 2-14 KILCUMMIN 2-10
Played in Kenmare this was a good quality game but the hosts proved too strong for our lads despite a determined courageous effort. A Gary O' Leary goal added to points from Kieran Murphy (3) and Paul O Shea (2) saw us trail at half time 1-05 to 2-05.
The second half saw Kenmare take control over a fifteen minute period that saw them extend their lead to eight points at one stage. However our lads showed considerable courage and points from Mark O Shea and Mikey Casey and a Philip O Leary goal brought us within four points. Kenmare held out for a deserved win and we now turn our attention to the next game against Gneeveguilla in Kilcummin this Saturday evening at 7pm.

KILCUMMIN GAA GOLF CLASSIC
Kilcummin GAA are heading to Kenmare Golf Club on Saturday, May 9th for their annual fundraiser Golf Classic. Again this year it will honour the memory of Anthony "Skinner" O Sullivan of Ballinamanagh and his family and friends in Australia have got together once again to support the event. According to Mike Riordan PRO this event, as well as being a great community day out is a vital fundraiser for the club in its efforts to provide necessary facilities for its ever growing membership. He is quick to acknowledge the great support they have got over the years from individuals and businesses in the local community and abroad but recognises the challenges clubs face to maintain standards on yearly basis.
